Okay, so Fauste and Owl aren't getting along. :ohnoes: What do I do? Fauste is being all "OMG! I KEEL U WIT MAH CLAUS!" And he's even gone after me. :(

Grrr! Is there any slow way to get them used to eachother? Owl's so young and I really do want them to get along.

well sry to say you really cant make them get along i have a female cat named hobbs seh hates other girl cats because she thinks there in her tarritory and most older cats hate younger ones because they have no respect for the elder cat so they bet up on each other for a wile untill the younger cat stops being a pest.

Is Owl another Bengal? this might have something to do with Fauste being territorial over you and this new comer, maybe? The way that we have new pet owners introduce new friends is gradual. Especially for an only-cat-home. Bengals in general learn quickly, but it can take them a while to get used to sudden changes. I would suggest keeping them in separate rooms for the time being. Maybe keep Owl in a bed room, and allow Fauste to have the roam he normally has. He will see and smell Owl from under the door, and get used to Owl's smell and sounds. You could try opening the door, and allowing Fauste to investigate, but assure him that this is alright and everything is ok. Use some toys too, so he see's that this is meant to be a fun thing, and encourage him to stay in a good mood. He may need some of your undivided attention for a while, when Owl isn't around, make sure that he still knows that your his human, haha

I've have a great many Bengal situations in our 7 years of breeding them. so with what little bit of info you said above, I hoped I provided you with some ideas maybe on how to stop the arguing between them. If not let me know some more behaviors they both are expressing and maybe I can help you further.

Hope this helped you a bit, and best wishes on trying to help them sort things out

Just how old is Owl?

I introduced my kitten to the older cat at age eight weeks. At first, I don't think the older cat understood that the kitten was a cat, but after he got shouted at for patting the kitten, I think he got the idea.

Just, I don't know, keep them apart for a bit. Limit their interaction, so that you hold one on your knee and let the other sniff them, then put them in separate rooms until they get used to each other.
my friends always got the saying: throw them both in the shower stall and turn on the water then they'll become friends REAL fast :)
but I dont know... i've never had cat troubles...i suppose its natrual to let them just figure things out..

Yeah, they're both Nuetered. I just introduced them to eachother about an hour ago, so I think they're just on uneven ground right now.

“Oh, I’m sorry! Did I get you?”
“No, you didn’t ‘get me’! It’s an electric drill! You get me, you KILL me!”

Friends
Owl is 5 months and Fauste is 6 months.

I might have to do that. :) Thanks!

My cats have usually hated any new cats brought in... but then in, oh... a few weeks, maybe, they'll be getting along just fine? Though there's been several times when our grouchy old cat just never likes a new cat. Ever. Heh. XD
